IMPORTANT  THINGS:  please print out

Mr Young  tries  to arrive about 30 minutes before a show to manually set up nearly 1000  lbs of display equipment (half a ton).
And he often has 2-3 shows a day.  Thus, we rely on you and your staff to make sure the following
is accounted for before he arrives.  Red items are time-critical...things that can delay set up.

PRESENTATIONS SPACE / ROOM cleared out and ready  before he arrives.  Stages are generally not ideal due to the set up and
audience interaction and visuals --but can be used.  Please check with us first if a stage or cleared out classroom is your only
option.      Gyms and cafeterias, pods, wide open areas and easily accesible ampitheatres  are often more ideal.

**TABLES**  CRITICAL: needed 20 feet of sturdy  table space set up before  arriving.   Tables can be folding, round, short etc .
Generally its best to 'line up' tables.   However for narrower room,  you can curve/arch them around slightly as long as they touch.

SEATING  For elementary audiences we advise aginst chairs for the students..   In 20 years we have noticed that younger students tend to be
more distracted in chairs.  When seated on the ground, looking up, they tend to be looking up at the show rather than their friends!

Mobility: ...unloading entrance as close to show area as possible...please:  no stairs, only elevators...no unusually narrow doors.   If you              have say, 2-3 steps, this is possible but it can slow up the loading process significantly as the cart must be unloaded, brought
up the few steps and then reloaded.....with 800 lbs, its hard to do this several times before then giving a high energy show!

Parking after unloading: ...if truck must be moved after unloading, please reserve a nearby parking space with an obvious sign like this

Staff/Office Awareness: ..because time is of the essence,  they should know where Mr Young is to set up his presenation, ie, the
actual location of presentation; ...they should have an elevator key handy if needed

Adults Present:   At least 1 adult should be present during show.     We strongly suggest teachers remain present  because he may need brief
assistance .... and  your presence indictes that the  subject matter is important for the students.   Besides, your staff will probably
learn things too!    Each year Mr Young brings in some new item or some new tidbit of historical info.

Distractions:  for younger and older audiences alike, some commonly overlooked problems can really detract from their attention:
            - classes/people  constantly  walking by? .....students playing?....building maintenance?
                      - if show is in Cafeteria: will the kitchen staff be making significant amounts of noise?  .... will the floor be clean on which to sit ?
-if show is in Gym: do you have a folding wall?...is it good enought to dampen sound from playing kids?
                       -Temperature?       Accoustics?       Noises?
